Dear PNMs,
Recruitment is officially less than 5 weeks away, and it can be a whirlwind, but a well-packed recruitment bag makes it so much easier to stay present. Your bag will come with a few goodies day-of, but keep reading to
First things First
This year, Sinclair will be providing our recruitment bags, so you will not need to buy your own. Since everyone's bag looks the same, it's easy to accidentally grab the wrong one when you're rushing between houses. When I went through recruitment, I tied a scarf onto mine so I could spot it right away. A ribbon or bag charm works well too, you just need something unique to make yours easy to find.

Beating the Heat
The Texas heat and humidity are no joke, and staying safe is priority number one. There will be hydration stations set up around Wampus, but here's what I'd pack to stay ahead of it:
Handheld fan
Water bottle (make sure it's one that doesn't leak!)
Snack (a protein bar or something with substance)
Grab N Go Hair ties
Comfy walking shoes (i promise the blisters are not worth the time you make up for not switching your shoes)
Touch-Ups
You want to walk into every house feeling confident, and a little refresh between parties goes a long way. These are the essentials I'd swear by to revive before your next door opens. Pro tip: keep them all in one small pouch so you're not rummaging through your entire bag between houses.
Breath strips or mints (I'd stay away from gum — you might forget and leave it in during a party)
Spray deodorant
Dry shampoo
Powder puff / blotting sheets
Lip combo
Hair brush
Body spray/Perfume
Just in Case
You can't always predict what recruitment week will throw at you, so it's worth packing a few backups just in case.
Mini first aid kit for any little emergencies (blister Band-Aids are absolute life savers!!)
Portable phone charger
Umbrella or poncho — last recruitment it started downpouring, so trust me, better safe than soaked!
We can't wait to meet you, and we hope this list helps you feel just a little more prepared for what's ahead. We hope this blog helps you pack your recruitment bag!
All my love,
Madi
