Introductions!

Dear readers,

Welcome to the Texas Panhellenic blog! We are so glad you are here and hope you are as excited as we are! This blog will give you a sneak peek into our Panhellenic community and share what makes this space so special. Whether you are reading this the day it is published or years later (when your first Blog Editors are long gone from the University of Texas), we want this blog to be your place! Our goal with this corner of the website is to educate, inform, and inspire—we will share the stories that make our Panhellenic community such an inspiring space, provide resources to ensure your college experience stays safe and fun, and highlight how each chapter feels like home for its members.

To our future PNMs, we love you already and cannot wait for you to get familiar with the Forty Acres. Whether you are deciding to join the community in the fall or spring, or just stopping by, we hope to provide you with everything you need to know. No matter if it's learning more about the recruitment process, seeing firsthand how the Panhellenic community can help you succeed in any field, or learning about the Longhorn life, we've got you covered. More than anything, we strive to be a friendly face every time you browse through.  Stay awhile, soak in what makes our Panhellenic community so special—spoiler, it’s the women in each of our 13 chapters—and bring that feeling of sisterhood to your screen. Sit back, Go Greek, and Hook 'Em!

Below is a quick introduction from the 3 members of your Blog team. We’d love for you to get to know us!

Hi there! My name is Shreya, and I’m your Blog Editor-in-Chief. I am an Alpha Chi in MC ‘24 studying Journalism and Philosophy. To me, the best thing about AXO and Texas Panhellenic is how ready and passionate my girls are about celebrating every win—in no other space have I been surrounded by so many uplifting, fun-loving, kindhearted women who want nothing but the best for each other. My favorite drink is an iced Cinnamon Toast Crunch matcha from Merit, my go-to study spot is the 4th floor of Rowling Hall, and I adore the movie “10 Things I Hate About You.” Everything you see on this blog is carefully brainstormed, researched, and written by the incredible Blog Editors team. I hope you walk (scroll?) away from this page with a better understanding of what makes our Panhellenic community go ‘round, and maybe even feel some of that #PanhelLove we’re always talking about.

Hey y’all! My name is Madi, and I’m one of your Blog Editors. I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi’s AC ‘24, and I’m a Pre-Law student studying Business. Beyond the time I spend trying to balance accounting sheets, you can usually find me crafting (just ask my roommates about my craft bin), frolicking around Austin, and trying new places (HIGHLY recommend Tiny's breakfast tacos),  and working on perfecting my blowout (I've found pin curls are KEY). Coming from a small town, I came into the recruitment process with no clue about what I was getting myself into. I was lucky enough not only to find my home in ADPi but also to gain the community that is Texas Panhellenic. There is truly no better place in college where women constantly uplift one another and grow into confident leaders. It’s a joy I wish everyone could experience in their college years. I hope this blog leaves readers feeling closer to this community and showcases how amazing all the girls repping their letters on campus truly are.

Hey there! My name is Victoria, and I'm one of your blog editors! I am a member of Kappa Delta’s PC ‘24, and I'm a Journalism student studying Sports Journalism. Some of my favorite pastimes are hanging out with friends and going on side quests (catch me at SOCO or the Domain, I’m always down for a shopping spree)! I’m super big on crafting, video editing, reading, and going out to eat—absolutely love Juliet's and Food Heads. My Panhellenic journey started with a family full of Panhellenic women who introduced me to the community, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of it at UT. KD has truly provided me with a loving sisterhood and has spread into Texas Panhellenic. I love being able to give back to the city of Austin and involving myself in all the wonderful things that happen in the 512. Being a part of the panhellenic family has made my college experience truly special, and I hope this blog can provide you with a sense of community, too!
